304L sheet is a versatile stainless steel, it is widely used in the manufacture of equipment and parts requiring a good combination of properties (corrosion resistance and formability).

304L is a lower carbon variant of 304 stainless steel used where welding is required. The lower carbon content minimizes carbide precipitation in the heat-affected zone near the weld, which can lead to intergranular corrosion (weld erosion) of stainless steel in some environments.

• As a low-C 304 steel, its corrosion resistance is similar to that of 304 steel under normal conditions, but its resistance to grain boundary corrosion is excellent after welding or stress. In the case of no heat treatment, it can also maintain good corrosion resistance, generally used below 400 (non-magnetic, operating temperature -196 degrees Celsius to 800 degrees Celsius)
